Full Episode Summary: Previously cast as Fliss Hawthorne in The Cuckoo Waltz also written by Geoffrey Lancashire, Diane Keen starred here as a woman encroaching into a man's world and setting it abuzz. Her role was Daisy Jackson, appointed - despite having no previous experience - as the new editor at a failing northern weekly newspaper, The Ramsden Reminder. The previous incumbent had just died and, like his own, the paper's circulation had ceased to function. Worse, bankruptcy was only a whisker away. So along came the feisty Daisy with the metaphorical new broom.
