Full Show Summary: Boo! The Halloween Wars have begun! This reality show depicts the competition between five teams who are all trying to come up with the best Halloween display of the bunch. When that time of year rolls around and the ghouls, ghosts and vampires come out to play, this show also kicks into action, challenging contestants to be creative and innovative when it comes to celebrating Halloween. Each season only lasts four episodes, with one of the five teams being eliminated every week until only one remains, and it is that remaining team that is crowned the rulers of Halloween and win a coveted $50,000 prize, while the losers face “grave” dishonor. Comprising each team are different people with different skill sets who must all work together to create a brilliant spread and display that outdoes all the other contestants and just says “Halloween” more than the others. On each team there are confectioners to make candy (time for some original stuff, nothing store bought!) carvers who must create some truly original and spook-tacular jack-o-lanterns, and bakers who must make some frighteningly awesome and delicious cakes. The competition can get pretty scary and some of the displays, all made with cake, candy and pumpkins, can be pretty blood-chilling as well, but are great displays of the skills of the team. Halloween wars is hosted by magician Justin Willman and the team’s creations are judged by such discerning people as cake decorator Shinman Li and horror movie monster designer extraordinaire, Tom Savini. These people really know their stuff, and will take the team’s best efforts to pass muster and avoid elimination. With each season a new group of Halloween warriors offers up their creations, and it’s a heated contest to the end to see who is the victor in each year’s Halloween Wars.
