Full Episode Summary: Best known for dramatic roles, David Threlfall returned to TV comedy (he had appeared in the C4 series Nightingales) cast as Lenny Smart, a thirty-something Manchester travel agent anxious to pass on his worldly wisdom to his colleague and flatmate Kendle Bains, aged 23. Lenny behaves like a big brother to Kendle and is determined to ensure he is well versed in all things masculine: sport, drinking and the pursuit of women. Lenny and window-cleaner Gilby - his friend since boyhood - are scarcely good role models, however, often behaving in a more juvenile fashion than the much younger yet immeasurably more sensible and sensitive Kendle. In the second series Kendle courted the lovely Becky.
