Full Show Summary: Mike Ross always wanted to be a lawyer, but his dream never really panned out for him, at least at first. He dropped out of law school and, so he thought, would never get to practice. He accepted this and decided to make money by selling his services to others attempting to get into law school. He takes the admission test for them, getting them into law school even if he himself can never get back in, an ironic tragedy considering his flawless memory and how brilliant a lawyer he would make if he ever got the chance to practice. One day however, Mike finally gets the chance he’s been waiting for, but perhaps not in a way he’d ever expect it to come about. Desperate for some money needed to take care of his ailing grandmother, he agrees to take part in a drug deal, which quickly goes wrong and Mike is forced to flee. Meanwhile, corporate lawyer Harvey Specter has been recently promoted and is now in a position where he must hire an associate. Fate throws Mike into his lap, who initially sees going on the interview only as a way to escape from the police. What ends up happening is that Harvey, seeing what a brilliant lawyer Mike would make, despite knowing that Mike never graduated from law school, decides to hire him on the spot and take the risk. “Suits” depicts Mike and Harvey working together on cases, with Harvey teaching Mike about the finer points of law that he never picked up, and Mike teaching Harvey how to behave like a caring human being and not a cold courtroom robot. They must work together to win cases while also keeping up the charade that Mike graduated from Harvard in order to keep him and his considerable skills at the law firm’s disposal.
