Full Episode Summary: Edgar Briggs was a hopeless counter-espionage agent, transferred to the Secret Intelligence Service by dint of an administrative error. Proud to be British and devoted to his wife Jennifer, he would have probably indulged in some extra-maritals provided, first, that his assistant Cathy had invited him, and, second, that he could have overcome his shyness. Although as much a danger to the SIS as to the enemy, Briggs always managed to turn his ineptitude into dubious successes that were the envy of his associates.
