Concrete Country
Full Show Summary CMT will begin airing eight new segments of "Concrete Country" on Tuesday (July 16). The live, outdoor sessions will spotlight independent artists performing in the cities that helped establish their musical careers. CMT and Mountain Dew announced a partnership earlier this year that would take the online series to the network. Brian Davis, Casey Donahew Band, the Dirty River Boys, Nikki Lane, Stoney LaRue, the Black Lillies, Turnpike Troubadours and Whiskey Myers are the first eight artists chosen for the broadcast series. The first of the 10-minute segments wi ll air at 11:50 p.m. ET/PT. In addition, one video from each artist will be included in CMT music blocks, as well as CMT Pure, for the week following the premiere. The Dirty River Boys paid their dues in the clubs around El Paso, Texas, before giving Austin a shot. Thanks to their acoustic arrangements and boundless energy, they quickly gained followers in the city known as the live music capital of the world. Travis Stearns and Nino Cooper teamed with Marco Gutierrez to form the band in El Paso, then met up with Colton James in Austin.
