Wiki Biography: Native New Yorker and now Los Angeles based actor, Derrell Whitt, had been cast as lead and supporting characters in several indie feature motion pictures including Manhattanites, shot entirely in NYC (available on Amazon), The Intruders starring Steven Bauer (Scarface), and most recently Lights Out with Doug Jones (Pan's Labrynth / Hellboy), all before the age of 21. He made his feature film debut at the age of seventeen in the romantic comedy Amber Sunrise, directed by Joseph Valle. He's starred in several shorts, and has appeared as hospital patients on ABC's Emmy-Winning General Hospital, and ABC's Emmy and Golden Globe-winning Grey's Anatomy.Some of his stage credits include Broadway Comes To Yonkers, with Broadway Legends Annie Renkins and Maurice Hines and in several Educational Plays with the Westchester Based Touring Company the Intimate Realities Players. He also played a series regular on a radio series, Scripts and Scruples.Derrell is a graduate of the World Famous Hollywood High School on Hollywood & Highland in Hollywood, California and studied several years with film director Gregori J. Martin.
