Ed Martin Biography
Wiki Biography: Ed Martin is founder and Executive Producer for Best Boy Entertainment, which develops and produces television and film projects for national and international broadcast. BBE has recently expanded into TV distribution and interactive media. Ed has thirty-eight years experience in the complex world of art and management, which include extensive experience in business, theatre, video production, commercial television production, television documentaries, children's television series, travel and adventure series, and docudrama television series. In the early 1980's he enjoyed a stint as a professional poker player, plying his trade in the gambling dens of Las Vegas, long before the game had earned universal respectability. Ed's first documentary, The Mushuau Innu: Surviving Canada, won two major awards: The Association of Canadian Broadcasting Award for Excellence in Broadcasting and Amnesty International's National Media Award. Ed has also produced three other national documentaries, two for Bravo! Canada and one for Global TV. His television series credits include: - 65 episodes of the television children's series, Mickey: Everyone's Best Friend - 6 episodes of the documentary series, The Horse - 8 episodes of the travel and adventure series, Skinny Dip - 13 episodes of the international documentary series, Soccer Shrines. Ed is in production for another 26 episodes of Mickey and 13 episodes of the new docudrama series, Pet ER. Ed's first feature, Gamblers Never Die, is slated for production in 2011. Another feature film, A Little Problem with Murder, is in development.
