Wiki Biography: Bagdasarian is an independent filmmaker in Los Angeles, CA. He grew up in and around Hollywood. Before getting into filmmaking, Bagdasarian was a magician / illusionist. He began performing magic at a tender age of 10. Within two years, he started in larger stage illusions with the help of his sister, Rose Bagdasarian and had numerous appearances as a special guest in a variety of television programs, magazines, and newspapers, including "Genii", the magic industry's professional magazine.Several years later, having always had an interest in filmmaking, Bagdasarian invested a majority of his annual earnings from a part-time job in a new camera while attending film school.In 2001, he formed his independent production company, PIB Productions (Professional Independent Business), to produce his first film, "Desperate Decisions". Later, three other films were produced that became official selections at film festivals, one which garnered an award. Among the films was an adoption of James Joyce's short story, The Dead (2004) (V), and a psychological thriller, Wave Parameters (2003) (V).Soon after, Bagdasarian produced and directed dozens of music videos for singers and musicians, as well as serving as an assistant director and editor on numerous episodes of the television series, "The Jazzspel with Eric J" (2003) on the Word Network. He also co-directed the behind the scenes documentary for the feature film, _Closure (I)(2010)_, which rapidly gained the interest of many industry professionals, including David S. Goyer and Matt Williams, among others.Additionally, Bagdasarian has extensively worked in post production on over 70 feature films, ranging from digital intermediates to editorial and visual effects.In 2012, Bagdasarian completed his first feature film, Abstraction (2013), a crime drama revolving around the heist of a half a million dollar painting. The film stars Korrina Rico (In Time), Ken Davitian (The Artist, Borat), Natalie Victoria (Deadheads), among others. Abstraction (2013) is scheduled for release sometime in 2013.Bagdasarian is developing two other films - "Moira" and "A Beautiful Illusion", based on an inspiring true story.
