Sherlock Holmes (2000)
Full Show Summary In 2000, Toronto began producing a series of Holmes stories itself. Popular Canadian actor Matt Frewer (most popularly known as Max Headroom) played the sleuth, donning a stereotypical deer-stalker and Inverness cloak for the role, as well as a correct clay pipe (in the media, Holmes is usually depicted smoking a curved Calabash). Kenneth Welsh assumes the role of a competent, useful accomplice and biographer. It is backed by authentic reproduced scenery and fine supporting performances. So, with Watson at his side, pipe and gun in hand, Holmes tackles a series of age-old mysteries anew. |
